Analysis Group Announces Staff Promotions, Welcomes New Affiliates

the promotions of professional staff and welcomes four new affiliates to
the firm.

New Affiliates

Jonathan F. Foster — Mr. Foster is the founder and managing
director of Current Capital, a private equity and portfolio company
management firm. He is an authority in corporate finance, governance,
private equity, and merger and acquisition litigation matters. Mr.
Foster is highly experienced in board issues, initial public offerings,
debt financing, restructurings, corporate acquisitions and sales, and
private equity transactions. He spent more than 10 years in mergers and
acquisitions at Lazard, where he was ultimately a managing director; he
was also a managing director at Wachovia Securities and Bear Stearns.

Frank R. Lichtenberg, Ph.D. — Dr. Lichtenberg is an expert on
industrial organization, applied microeconomics, and econometrics. He is
a professor at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business. His
research focuses on how the introduction of new technologies arising
from RD investment affects the productivity of companies, industries,
and nations. He is a research associate of the National Bureau of
Economic Research and has served as an expert for the Federal Trade
Commission, the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Internal Revenue
Service, and state attorneys general. He has testified before Congress
and has worked for several government agencies, including the DOJ, the
Congressional Budget Office, and the Census Bureau.

John J. Richard — Mr. Richard is a fund manager and securities
consultant with more than 15 years of experience in institutional money
management. He was a founder of Taurus Horizon Fund, where he was a
managing partner and fund manager for the strategy. Previously, he
served at State Street Global Advisors as a senior fixed income
portfolio manager. The assets under his management exceeded $10 billion.
Mr. Richard’s investment expertise spans a variety of security types,
including unsecured corporate credit and securitized structures (such as
ABS, MBS, CMBS, and CDO). Over his career, Mr. Richard has also taken an
active role in trading securities and performing due-diligence credit
work on the underlying collateral.

Steven M. Shugan, Ph.D. — Dr. Shugan is the
McKethan-Matherly Eminent Scholar Chair at the University of Florida. He
is an expert in marketing models, multivariate statistics, quantitative
methods, and advanced marketing management. His current research focuses
on model validation, bundling, seasonality, normative methods for
modeling competition, models of selling and product policy, advance
selling, entertainment marketing, and markets for evaluative
information. Dr. Shugan has been published extensively and has made more
than 100 professional presentations in more than 22 countries. He is a
fellow of the Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences
and an inaugural fellow of the Society for Marketing Science.

New Managing Principal

Anita
Chawla, Ph.D. — Dr. Chawla has more than 20 years of experience
as a health economist, using analyses to support the business objectives
of life sciences companies. As a member of our Menlo Park office, Dr.
Chawla has played a lead role in developing an early phase
economic-modeling capability for pharmaceuticals–an approach that
connects strategic planning with health economics. She has assessed the
value of a range of therapies to inform health care decision makers. An
expert in all phases of drug development, she has designed economic and
outcomes research strategies for product development and
commercialization objectives. Dr. Chawla has also conducted research and
published on a range of health economics issues, including treatment
patterns and outcomes, economic burden of various illnesses,
cost-effectiveness analysis in clinical trials, drug spending trends,
and performance measures for prescription drug management.

New Vice Presidents

In our Boston office, Mark
J. Lewis, Ph.D., conducts analyses using large-scale data sets
and has supported expert testimony in a number of health care,
antitrust, intellectual-property, and class action matters. Crystal
Pike, also in Boston, has managed cases involving analysis of
marketing practices in the pharmaceutical industry; economic analysis of
physician-payment structures under capitation; and pricing analyses for
large multinational corporations across numerous industries. Dov
Rothman, Ph.D., also in Boston, is an economist with a range of
expertise in applied microeconomics, econometrics, health economics,
industrial organization, labor economics, and statistics. Justin
F. Works, in our Menlo Park office, specializes in the
biotechnology and pharmaceuticals industries, conducting competitive
assessments of and developing product pricing and rebating strategies
for high-profile health-related products in a variety of therapeutic
areas.
